The Role You will be one of the key creatives behind social content, producing work that positions the brand as an engaging and trusted voice online. It is not about polished ad campaigns adapted for social; it is about native, authentic storytelling that reflects real people, moments, and conversations.
What You’ll Do
- Concept, shoot, edit, and produce social‑first content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Stories, and emerging formats.
- Develop content ideas that translate brand purpose and product messaging into authentic, platform‑native moments audiences relate to and want to share.
- Create lo‑fi, high‑impact content using smartphones, DSLRs, and simple lighting setups, prioritising authenticity over polish.
- Storyboard and present content concepts, articulating the creative idea and platform rationale.
- Track current social trends, viral formats, platform features, and creator culture, flagging relevant opportunities for the team.
- Produce reactive and real‑time content that connects the brand to cultural moments and trending conversations while staying true to its voice and values.
- Edit and adapt content across formats, reimagining a single shoot or asset in multiple ways to maximise reach and relevance (using Premiere Pro, CapCut, and native platform tools).
- Collaborate with social media managers to align content with publishing calendars, campaign timelines, and community engagement priorities.
- Support shoots involving content creators, influencers, and real people, ensuring inclusive, respectful, and representative processes.
- Experiment with new formats, techniques, and creative approaches, sharing results with the wider team.
- Use Gen AI tools to support ideation, visual references, editing, and copy exploration.
- Ensure all content meets platform specifications, brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and compliance requirements.
What You Bring
- A portfolio demonstrating 2–4 years of social content creation with platform‑native work that generated genuine audience engagement.
- Technical confidence across the content creation process—concepting, shooting, editing, and publishing with comfort using both smartphones and DSLRs.
- Strong editing skills in Premiere Pro, Canva, CapCut, or comparable tools, with the ability to adapt content across multiple formats.
- Fluency in TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels, and an understanding of what performs, why, and how content is discovered and shared.
- A keen sense of cultural relevance, spotting trending moments, formats, and conversations and turning them into quick content ideas.
- Experience creating content for consumer brands, communicating product or brand messages in a genuine and relatable manner.
- The ability to work at social speed, managing priorities to deliver quality content on tight turnarounds.
- A collaborative, proactive attitude, willing to pitch in across different types of content and production needs.
- An interest in inclusive content creation, authentically representing diverse people, imagery, and storytelling.
- Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Gen AI and Agentic Thinking
- Basic proficiency with Gen AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL‑E) for ideation, mood‑boarding, visual exploration, and content iteration.
- An agentic approach: self‑organising, breaking down creative tasks, finding efficient solutions, and delivering independently.
- Willingness to experiment with AI tools as part of the creation process, understanding when they add value and when human judgement is required.
- Understanding of AI limitations, spotting outputs that feel authentic versus generic.
