About the Role

We're looking for a Design Supervisor to lead and grow a team of static and motion designers across a mix of performance and brand campaign clients. You'll still be in the work, reviewing files, making things, and setting the standard, while also developing your team, owning quality control, and supporting the Creative Team you work alongside. You're not just managing output. You're building a team that makes better work because you're in the room.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Director of Creative Operations. Manages approx. 5-8 designers (static + motion). Works closely with Creative Leads.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design Leadership
    • Review and QA design work across static and motion deliverables before it goes to Creative Directors or clients.
    • Set the creative standard for the team and define what good looks like at WITHIN.
    • Bridge gaps between the Creative and Production teams on execution at the designer level.
    • Contribute hands‑on to high‑priority work when the bar needs to be raised fast.
    • Push back when work doesn't meet the brief and show the team how to fix it.
  • Team Development
    • Manage and mentor 5-8 designers across static and motion disciplines.
    • Give clear, specific feedback that helps designers grow, not just get through the project.
    • Identify skill gaps across your team and address them through coaching, pairing, and resources.
    • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance check‑ins, and quarterly reviews.
    • Help evaluate freelancers and contribute to staffing decisions.
  • Production & Process
    • Own the quality of the work your team ships across all brands.
    • Partner with Creative Operations to flag capacity issues, resource needs, and production bottlenecks.
    • Maintain and grow brand system knowledge across your assigned clients.
    • Contribute to building and refining internal design standards, templates, and toolkits.
    • Stay current on platform specs and best practices across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Display, and more.
  • AI & Emerging Tooling
    • Use AI image and video generation tools as a regular part of your production workflow.
    • Help your team build working knowledge of these tools and use them without compromising brand standards.
    • Contribute to internal documentation and guidelines around AI‑assisted design workflows.
    • Help your team build and implement automated, practical workflows using AI tools without compromising brand standards.
    • Test new tools as they come out and give honest, practical assessments.

Requirements

  • 5‑7 years of design experience in an agency or in‑house environment, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong skills in both static design and motion design, with the ability to give credible feedback across both.
  • Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma.
  • Real, hands‑on experience with AI image and video generation tools (Midjourney, Runway, fal.ai, Replicate, Gemini, Stable Diffusion, or similar).
  • Experience working on both performance/paid social creative and brand‑level campaign work.
  • A clear, direct communication style.
  • Ability to give feedback that is specific and actionable.
  • Comfort managing multiple clients and brand systems at the same time.
  • Experience managing or mentoring designers in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is mandatory.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with video post‑production workflows (Premiere Pro, DaVinci).
  • Background in performance marketing strategy or brand strategy.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Asana, Jira, or Trello.
  • Proficiency in front‑end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience in UI/UX design (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

Benefits

  • Base salary DOE.
  • Unlimited vacation policy.
  • Health insurance coverage.
  • Food stipend.
  • Internet/phone stipend.
  • Dog friendly office.
  • Professional Development Program.

This is a fully in‑office role based in Mexico City, Mexico. Candidates must be available to work on‑site five days a week.
