Established in 2004, OLIVER is the world’s first and only specialist in designing, building, and running bespoke in-house agencies and marketing ecosystems for brands. We partner with over 300 clients in 40+ countries and counting. Our unique model drives creativity and efficiency, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions that resonate deeply with audiences. As a part of The Brandtech Group, we're at the forefront of leveraging cutting‑edge AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work. Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision‑making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.

About the role: The Creative Lead will be the senior creative voice within OLIVER Marketing UK's in‑house studio, embedded within an internationally recognized B2B events organisation. Our client connects global industries through some of the world's most respected trade events and professional communities — and this role is accountable for the creative standard across both. You’ll be OLIVER’s senior representative within the Client’s in‑house design team and you will oversee a small team of designers, reporting into the Head of Design and working across a creative function that spans EMEA. You’ll set the quality bar for all campaign output, translate strategic briefs into creative programmes, and develop the capabilities of your team — all while maintaining brand coherence and creative ambition across two distinct portfolio identities. This role is responsible for the creative output across multiple portfolios in the client’s business, giving you a broad remit and significant creative influence across the wider account.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the day‑to‑day creative output of a small design team, operating within a larger design function spanning EMEA
  • Translate strategic and campaign briefs into clear creative direction, setting the quality standard for all team deliverables
  • Review all team output and provide clear, constructive feedback before client or stakeholder review
  • Collaborate with the Head of Design on campaign planning, creative strategy, and team capacity
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key client stakeholders across both portfolio teams
  • Ensure brand consistency and creative quality across all channels: paid digital, print, social, and event collateral
  • Support the professional development of your team through regular feedback, coaching, and structured mentoring
  • Support the management of team workloads effectively, identifying resourcing or timeline risks early and escalating where needed
  • Champion inclusive, globally aware creative output — ensuring work resonates with diverse audiences across EMEA and beyond
  • Lead by example in the adoption of generative AI tools — setting quality benchmarks, building team workflows, and supporting responsible, effective AI use across the studio

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A strong creative portfolio demonstrating quality across integrated digital and print campaign work
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team of designers in a fast‑paced in‑house, studio, or agency environment
  • Confident creative direction skills: able to brief, critique, and elevate others' work constructively and with clarity
  • Experience managing creative output across multiple brand portfolios or client workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management skills — able to present creative work, defend decisions, and build trust with clients
  • Organisational confidence: comfortable acting as the quality checkpoint for a team while maintaining your own creative contribution
  • Advanced proficiency with generative AI tools to enhance creative output; experience designing and implementing AI workflows for a team and setting quality benchmarks for AI‑assisted work
  • Agentic thinking: systematic approach to complex, multi‑step creative and operational challenges
  • Experience in B2B, events, pharma, or healthcare is beneficial, not a requirement

Our values shape everything we do: Be Ambitious to succeed, Be Imaginative to push the boundaries of what’s possible, Be Inspirational to do groundbreaking work, Be always learning and listening to understand, Be Results-focused to exceed expectations, Be actively pro‑inclusive and anti‑racist across our community, clients and creations.
