Known is looking for a Creative Director with a social-first expertise to join the Studios, leading and developing big idea-driven creative for clients across industries. The role demands great strategic thinking, flawless execution, bold innovation, passion, and optimism. The Creative Director will also oversee the development and execution of brand creative inclusive of social, digital, OOH, video and experiential marketing, and tell stories through words on any platform. Candidates with copywriting or hybrid CW/AD backgrounds will be prioritized, as will candidates with a strong portfolio of social-first work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead concept development and execution of social, digital, brand and 360 marketing campaigns
- Actively oversee and lead a team of best-in-class creatives at all levels—mentoring them and developing their skills
- Engage in programs/mocks/decks when needed, while knowing when to lead and when to help
- Serve as a leader for the team and a thought leader to stakeholders and collaborators from a brand and messaging standpoint
- Develop a deep understanding of consumer target mindsets, attitudes, and behaviors to inform strong empathetic and strategic executions
- Manage the creative process from concept to execution
- Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies and outputs
- Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
- Oversee deliverables, adhere to timelines and creative budgets
- Represent creative output throughout the wider organization, presenting to key stakeholders and communicating with internal teams and agencies
- Manage multiple projects, switching smoothly while staying on deadline and within budget
- Review and approve the work of all direct reports before seeking approval from the Group Creative Director / President, Studios
- Provide regular performance feedback to direct reports, including crafting and delivering performance reviews
- Partner with the Creative Operations team on resourcing and scheduling staff to drive success across projects
- Work closely with Client, Strategy, and Media team members to ensure briefs spark groundbreaking creative grounded in consumer insights and business goals
Qualifications
- Portfolio featuring a wide range of creative and social-first campaigns, and a diversity of creative ideas and approaches to solving problems with a focus on articulating strategic, breakthrough ideas across a myriad of channels
- Strong aptitude for storytelling across advertising mediums, with an emphasis on social, digital and DTC advertising
- Solid understanding of how creativity can achieve business objectives while meeting brand standards for aesthetic and communication quality
- Strong analytical ability and clear, effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Optimistic, excited for work, and passionate about business impact
- Positive, motivating leader capable of managing and nurturing an emerging team of talented creatives
- Collaborative mindset to ensure projects meet brand guidelines, compliance, and overall project goals
- Understanding of all aspects of brand marketing creative, including brand development, social, digital, TV, OOH, print, media, and environmental/experiential design
- Experience and skill in developing new business and client review decks and various communication vehicles
- Creative and strategy-driven point of view in developing best-in-class integrated marketing campaigns and programs
- Ability to multitask while coordinating multiple projects and resources, delivering under tight timelines and adapting quickly to change
- Proven ability to quickly identify problems and solve them
Background
- 8–10+ years of creative advertising experience developing content and campaigns
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Advertising, Branding, Marketing, or a related field

Compensation
The base salary for this position is $150K-$165K. This range is posted in compliance with state and municipal Pay Transparency laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to receive additional Known benefits.
