Real Chemistry is hiring a Client Accounting Analyst to join our growing team. The role is based in multiple locations: Boston, Massachusetts; Carmel, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; Lambertville, New Jersey; and North Carolina.
The Client Accounting Analyst is responsible for the facilitation of the billing process, financial analysis, and reporting for assigned accounts. This role is part of the Finance Department and works closely with other department members.
What you’ll do
- Process invoices and resolve client accounting/billing discrepancies with internal teams and clients.
- Process purchase orders upon request.
- Manage and track accounts receivable statuses.
- Participate in monthly financial review meetings with account teams, creating and reviewing budget trackers, and running financial queries as needed.
- Assist with client reporting, audit requests, and data collection for assigned accounts as needed.
- Review monthly fee and expense details; pull backup documentation to ensure proper coding of expenses.
- Reconcile charges within the internal financial system.
- Provide time and expense details incurred on assigned accounts to Project Managers.
- Support the department by maintaining files, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
- Complete assigned accounting/billing work and assist across the business when necessary.
- Liaise with and review the work of our external billing team.
What you should have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (interview may include a virtual Excel test).
- Professional communication manner and ability to triage messages appropriately.
- Ability to maintain the security of confidential information and conversations that impact the business.
- 3+ years’ experience in Billing Associate or Client Accounting Associate role; experience in an Advertising or PR firm is required.
- Experience with financial systems; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.

- Position is classified as non‑exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Pay Range: $60,000 – $70,000.
