Real Chemistry is looking for an Account Manager to join our global healthcare communications team. The role focuses on client service, account management, and strategic marketing across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and health‑IT sectors.

Location & Work Arrangement

The position is hybrid and can be based in any Real Chemistry US office—including New York City, Lambertville, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco—or remotely within the United States, depending on team and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client service and manage 3‑4 accounts.
  • Collaborate with account associates, senior management, and project staff to ensure timely, flawless execution and high‑touch client communications.
  • Participate in developing clients’ marketing strategies and tactics, coordinating with internal stakeholders to agree on scope and approach.
  • Support overall account development, resource allocation, fiscal performance and growth.
  • Manage day‑to‑day client contact for ad‑hoc requests and deliver planned activities and materials.
  • Draft scope of works, contracts, creative briefs, PR and marketing materials, and other internal/external communications.
  • Gather, understand and address client feedback across deliverables and internally.
  • Document status and communicate need‑to‑know information to all project stakeholders to maintain critical‑path progression.
  • Set meetings, provide agendas and contact reports.
  • Run client calls or meetings independently.
  • Manage account finances: track budget, raise invoices and purchase orders.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks based on priorities.
  • Independent thinker who takes ownership of assets and material development while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Professional presence with a sense of urgency and client‑service orientation.
  • Confidence to manage upward when required; able to communicate with managers about delayed deadlines or foreseeable issues.
  • High energy, capable of operating in a fast‑paced, growing, and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with a track record of following through on client requests and delivering high‑quality deliverables on schedule and on budget.
  • Good understanding of social media vehicles and comfort managing and drafting communications around them.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and Microsoft Office skills (especially PowerPoint).
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and delegate effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Experience with media monitoring, research, and self‑directed project work.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

Pay Range

$63,000 – $72,000.
