Join our Medical Communications team as the primary client contact for emerging and mid‑stage biotech companies, leading projects worth approximately $2M. This hybrid role is based in Boston.
Responsibilities- Serve as day‑to‑day client lead and trusted advisor for emerging and mid‑stage biotech partners across medical affairs and publication workstreams, leveraging the Biotech COE.
- Provide senior‑level strategic counsel on key programs, tailoring recommendations to the realities of emerging and mid‑stage biotech.
- Oversee account operations to ensure seamless execution of high‑quality deliverables, proactive issue resolution, and clear stakeholder communication.
- Drive strategic planning and account growth by identifying opportunities to evolve and expand programs for existing and identified clients.
- Ensure financial stewardship across the account, including budget oversight, forecasting, resourcing, and profitability management.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment and contributing to capability‑building within the COE.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory updates; translate insights into practical guidance.
- Support new business efforts for emerging and mid‑stage biotech, contributing to pitches and proposals and partnering with the COE to showcase differentiated expertise.
- 6+ years of experience in medical affairs and publications, preferably in an agency setting.
- Minimum of 3 years servicing biotech clients.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing client relationships and internal teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of driving account growth.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budget tracking and forecasting.
- Experience with advisory boards, investigator meetings, and meeting management.
- Veeva management expertise (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
