At Real Chemistry, we transform healthcare with scientific expertise, human‑centred creativity, and AI‑driven insights. We are seeking an Account Director to lead media relations for the Integrated Communications team across global accounts such as obesity, oncology, and rare diseases.
Responsibilities
- Managing multiple client accounts of varying sizes
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Overseeing the distribution of client announcements via appropriate regulatory channels and following up with media in a timely manner
- Developing high‑level and persuasive communications plans to meet client business objectives
- Taking accountability for the financial performance of accounts through close management of budgets and team members
- Partnering with internal team leads to grow integrated business (social media/digital, creative) and to develop new business opportunities
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience within an integrated health PR/marketing agency and/or press office
- Experience with pharmaceutical clients
- Experience working within media relations, and interest in growing further in this area
- Some scientific knowledge from education or work
- Strong understanding of the UK and European media
- Understanding of the ever‑changing digital landscape
- Exceptional presentation skills – both verbal and written, formal and informal
- Project management experience, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage detailed budgets

Working Locations & Arrangements
We have office locations in the U.S., U.K., and Europe. Employees within an hour of an office are expected to work in‑office two days a week in a Real HART (Real Hybrid and Regional Teams) approach, but flexible remote work is also supported on a quarterly collaboration basis.
