We\’re working with a commercial fit‑out and delivery consultancy in Shoreditch that creates beautifully crafted spaces across retail, hospitality, and interiors. They care about the details.
Every project is delivered with intention, and they need someone who can protect both the design vision and the bottom line.
The Role
This is for a Quantity Surveyor who understands commercial creative environments. Someone who can balance design intent with commercial precision and feels at home working alongside designers, project managers, and clients.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of cost management across the studio\’s projects. You will shape systems that make cost reporting clear, consistent, and reliable. You will be hands‑on, from early feasibility through to final account reconciliation, making sure projects land on time, on budget, and to the standard they deserve.
What You Will Do
- Lead cost planning and management across design‑led interior and build projects
- Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Create and manage pricing templates, tender documents, and contracts
- Support feasibility studies and value analysis to inform early design decisions
- Visit sites to monitor progress, costs, and quality
- Identify value engineering opportunities that enhance rather than dilute the design
- Develop consistent, transparent cost reporting across teams and clients
- Run tender exercises and prepare clear, insightful summary reports
- Reconcile final accounts and deliver accurate project costings
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to keep everything aligned
What You Will Bring

- Confident communication skills, able to translate numbers into narratives clients understand
- Organised, hands‑on, and solutions‑focused, with a strong sense of ownership
- Experience across contractor and client‑side roles, ideally within retail, hospitality, or design‑led interiors
- Proven success delivering high‑end fit‑outs up to £5m
- Sound understanding of construction safety standards and legislation
- Advanced Excel skills and a talent for building clear financial systems
- Full UK driving licence
