About the Role: This is a design role with real creative ownership. You will be leading the development of temporary immersive retail environments, from initial concept through to full construction documentation, with a focus on beauty and fragrance activations. Working closely with a Senior Designer and collaborating across internal creative, commercial, and external partner teams, you will be responsible for translating creative direction into buildable, on-brand environments that work across multiple sites globally. There is a strong 'retailtainment' element to the work here, so this role suits someone who thinks beyond the visual and considers the full customer journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead concept design and drawing packages for temporary immersive retail environments, specialising in beauty and fragrance
- Propose engaging customer journey elements as part of the wider activation experience
- Research materials and processes suitable for temporary builds, in line with sustainability targets
- Develop creative direction across multiple scales of implementation
- Produce guideline packages for external partners to implement design direction across global sites
- Work closely with a Senior Designer and internal creative and commercial teams to ensure cross-functional, brand-aligned delivery
- Collaborate with an external beauty partner to develop designs and construction details within tight timelines
- Oversee visual merchandising strategy and coordinate pop-up activations and events
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to keep design strategies sharp and relevant
Requirements & Experience:
- Proven experience in concept and pop-up design, ideally within beauty and fragrance retail
- A confident, considered creative point of view
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of current market trends and competitor approaches
- Well organised, flexible, and comfortable working across multiple workstreams
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, or Vectorworks
- A degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field (a Master's degree is a bonus)
