Our key client in the Wholesale Industry situated in the London and Essex area are seeking an accomplished and experienced Financial Controller with at least 3 years PQE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities. They would prefer someone who has experience in delivering new systems and especially working with teams that need developing, particularly technical skills.
A brief overview of the job is below:
- Weekly sales reporting including trend analysis
- Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs
- Financial results review meetings with commercial directors
- Develop and oversee budgets and forecasts, including analysing financial data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Cash flow forecasting
- Preparation of P11d information for external payroll department to process
- Maintain a good working relationship with external stakeholders e.g. banks, auditors, legal teams
- Evaluate investment opportunities, assess potential risks
- Support the directors with ad-hoc requests
Skills:
- Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA / QBE, with 3+ years PQE
- Experience of mergers & acquisitions, due diligence
- Experience of group consolidation
- Experience of external audits
- Not put off by bespoke software packages (i.e. not “off-the-shelf” accounting software)
