We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable professional to join a well-established and highly successful global organisation. This position sits within a small, supportive finance team and is ideal for someone looking to take ownership of the accounts payable function while progressing their career in a leadership capacity.
This hands-on role will manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including processing high volumes of multi-currency invoices, executing payment runs, month-end reporting, and managing a junior team member. You will play a key role in driving process accuracy and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of intercompany and multi-currency invoices and credit notes with accuracy
- Perform intercompany account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Manage vendor queries and liaise with internal departments to resolve issues
- Process and review monthly employee expense claims
- Maintain strong vendor relationships through effective communication
- Prepare and review monthly corporate credit card statements for accurate coding and timely posting
- Generate and analyse financial reports as required
- Oversee and process weekly BACS payment runs
- Supervise and support the Accounts Payable Assistant
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a senior purchase ledger or accounts payable role
- Strong understanding of payment processes and financial reporting
- Previous experience in or readiness to step into a line management role
- High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in SAP or a similar accounting system, along with MS Office
