Alongside our โflagshipโ knickers, we also sell supremely comfortable PJs, bras, and other clothing layers. Our business is primarily e-commerce based, selling D2C in the UK and abroad, with a growing US market. Our customers also buy direct from our wholesale network partners including Selfridges and multiple independent boutiques in the UK and Nordstrom and Shopbop in the US.

As our PR and press activity continues to grow, weโre looking for a PR Assistant to own the day-to-day upkeep of our press database and support the PR Manager in running press outreach, gifting and events.
ROLE OVERVIEW
This role keeps the press database current and the PR engine running day-to-day โ from press releases and lookbooks to gifting, sample requests and press coverage tracking โ while supporting the PR Manager across press appointments, events and brand partnerships. This role is located out of our Plymouth based premises but will require monthly visits to London (expenses paid).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PR database:
- Own day-to-day upkeep of the press database โ journalists (UK/USA/IE/AUS).
- Own day-to-day upkeep of databases โ VIPs, charity and brand-partner contacts.
- Use Diary Directory daily to keep the press database up-to-date with editor moves and new contacts.
- Ensure every editor who has written about us or has been gifted is in the PR database.
PR:
- Design and send BAU press releases (2/3 weekly) and lookbooks to the PR database, offer samples, arrange gifting and follow up the following week.
- Work to get product placements in gift guides and underwear/knickers/pyjamas round-ups and testing.
- Keep affiliate agency Scale up-to-date with upcoming launches/collabs/S&S news โ providing them with press releases/lookbooks and images weekly.
- Brief Fin on PR lookbooks and inserts etc.
- Outreach to ensure all major publications have plenty of up-to-date stock in their fashion cupboards.
- Offer gifting to fashion offices every 6 months.
- Outreach to new editors, introducing the brand and offering samples to try and follow up for feedback.
- Scour publications for coverage and input into the PR tracker monthly.
- Keep the PR tracker current with new leads/missed press/live coverage.
- Keep the press quotes bank archive current.
- Share press coverage with the wider team. Share top coverage with the socials team.
- Create an image folder of cut-outs for every new drop with product names and prices.
- Send images to journalists.
- Ensure the press mailbox is replied to daily.
- Support the PR Manager at press appointments and events in London (must be happy to travel).
- Support the PR Manager with organising events, sending invitations, organising gifting etc.
Brand partnerships:
- Support the PR Manager with brand outreach for event goodie bags and staff gifting.
ACCOUNTABLE FOR (THE A'S IN THE RACI)
- Press database.
- BAU press releases and lookbooks.
- Press mailbox.
REQUIRED SKILLSET
- Minimum 1 year of previous PR experience, ideally within fashion, lifestyle or a consumer-facing brand.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft press releases and pitch copy that reflects brand tone of voice.
- Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail, particularly for database management and tracking.
- Confident using (or quick to learn) press database/CRM tools such as Diary Directory.
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines across BAU press releases, gifting cycles and events.
- Comfortable building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors and brand partners.
- A proactive, self-starting approach โ happy to own tasks end-to-end with minimal oversight.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; experience with image editing or asset organisation (e.g. Photoshop, Canva) is a plus.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel to London monthly (and occasionally for events).Genuine interest in sustainable fashion and the S&S brand.
