About The Role As General Manager, you’ll take a central leadership role in managing our Plymouth-based Installation and Service departments. You will oversee project delivery, service operations, and team performance across the South West. This role requires a strong leader who can align day-to-day operations with strategic objectives and deliver excellent customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for major clients, ensuring high satisfaction and addressing key concerns.
- Oversee all installation project planning and delivery, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Lead and support the fire and security service and maintenance team in achieving daily and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with department heads, stakeholders, and clients to align operations with company objectives.
- Liaise with procurement to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the Plymouth department.
- Evaluate and refine project management processes for increased operational efficiency.
- Oversee invoicing for installation works, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Manage installation budgeting and cost control.
- Direct engineer allocation and adherence to client project schedules.
- Analyse service delivery, customer satisfaction, and team KPIs to drive improvements.
- Conduct performance reviews and mentoring for service and installation teams.

- Promote and enforce Company Health & Safety policies, including RAMS, PPE, toolbox talks, and training requirements.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Devon and Cornwall.
