With ambitious growth plans, we’re looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to support the Merchandiser in trading the department, monitoring and optimising stock, and helping shape range, pricing and promotion decisions across the business.

This would suit an experienced Merchandising Admin Assistant ready for the next step, or an existing Assistant Merchandiser.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Support to the Merchandiser across weekly trade reporting, stock optimisation, range and product analysis, and markdown and promotion planning — keeping the department trading smoothly and the numbers telling the right story.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Merchandiser in trading the department, running weekly trade reports and participating in the weekly trade meetings.
  • Monitor and optimise stocks across the business.
  • Support with range and product analysis, providing feedback to the product team and wider business.
  • Manage the Range Plan with the Buying team.
  • Support with markdown and promotion lists and analysis.
  • Regularly assess the business needs in terms of size analysis and update size curves.
  • Assist in critical path meetings with logistics & buying.
  • Take responsibility for product management across multiple systems and platforms.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a similar merchandising role.
  • Highly experienced in MS Excel, with the ability to use advanced functions and formulas.
  • Knowledge of databases, systems and report building.
  • Highly capable with numerical tasks.
  • The ability to analyse data to gain insights and make key recommendations and proposals of trading decisions for the business.
  • A great team player and a great communicator.
  • Very organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Computer literacy essential.
