About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, self-starting performance marketer to own performance marketing at Desmond & Dempsey - driving profitable customer acquisition as we scale the UK, expand internationally, and launch new categories. You’ll report to our CEO, managing a £1.5m annual budget with real autonomy. Meta is where you’ll spend most of your time today, but this isn’t a single-platform role - you’ll have scope to test emerging channels and shape our acquisition strategy as it evolves.

What You’ll Do

  • Own day-to-day management and optimisation of paid search & social campaigns, with Meta as the primary channel and scope to test and scale into new platforms.
  • Drive profitable new customer acquisition across UK, US, and international markets - with a clear understanding of the unit economics that allow for scale.
  • Analyse performance data to surface creative insights, then brief internal and external creative partners with clear, actionable direction on what to make next.
  • Own the accuracy of tracking infrastructure, product catalogue feeds, and attribution setup - working with dev resource to resolve issues and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage budget pacing against targets, proactively flagging opportunities to scale spend or pull back where needed.
  • Recommend new acquisition funnels, landing page optimisations, and audience strategies to improve platform performance.
  • Be driven, self-directed and curious to stay ahead of Meta changes, best practices, and emerging opportunities.
  • Support new category launches with tailored acquisition strategies.
  • Report on performance and present findings to leadership with clarity and confidence.
  • Manage key performance marketing KPIs, know when to use each of them, and have the discipline in reporting against them.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years’ hands‑on experience running paid social, either agency‑side or in‑house.
  • Deep expertise in Meta Business Manager & Google Ads Manager - you know your way around campaign structures, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and creative testing.
  • A strong grasp of measurement and attribution: you understand first‑party data, server‑side tracking, and why platform‑reported numbers don’t tell the whole story.
  • Experience in DTC premium, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
  • Comfortable with Shopify, GA4, and ideally Motion for creative analytics.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable creative briefs - you don’t need to design, but you need to know what’s working and why.
  • Genuine curiosity about new platforms and a hunger to experiment.

Who You Are

You’re comfortable operating without a big tech stack or a data science team. You build your own reports, find your own insights, and don’t wait for perfect data to make a call. You take ownership, solve problems before they’re handed to you, and bring energy to everything you do. You are organised, disciplined, and don't struggle to finish the tasks you start. This role suits someone who wants to make a real impact at a scaling brand - not someone looking for a predictable 9‑5.

Why Desmond & Dempsey

  • Own a meaningful budget and shape acquisition strategy from the inside.
  • Work closely with the founders on strategic growth decisions.
  • Lead UK and international expansion across paid channels.
  • Shape acquisition strategy for new category launches.
  • Join a growing business with genuine ambition.
  • Hybrid working – 4 days in our London office.
  • Be part of a team that moves fast and celebrates wins together.
