About DSP:

DSP is a technology services group with revenues of c.Β£72m, operating across the UK, North America, and a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India. The Group specialises in Oracle-centred managed services, professional services, and technology resale, with growing capability in Microsoft/Azure, data, and AI.

Backed by LDC since October 2023, DSP is executing a four-year Value Creation Plan (FY26–FY29) and the creation of One DSP - a single, integrated operating model across all regions.

Role Purpose

This newly created role will be the single Group-level owner of DSP's go-to-market strategy and marketing engine across all regions: brand, website and collateral, campaigns and communications, marketing-led demand and lead generation, customer insight and proposition development, and vendor alliances, unified across the UK and North America.

The mandate is to build DSP's Group-level strategic marketing capability and the systematic, measurable demand engine that feeds both regional sales organisations - ICP-driven pipeline, catalogue-led propositions marketed through a single HubSpot system, and the brand, insight, and analyst foundations that support materially larger deal sizes and the recurring-revenue trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

Growth marketing and pipeline generation:

  • Own global marketing strategy: market selection, proposition-market fit, and the investment cases for new growth vectors, agreed with the CEO/Board.
  • Own Group pipeline generation: marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline targets agreed at appointment, supporting Group qualified pipeline coverage of β‰₯2.5x.
  • Partner with the UK Chief Revenue Officer and the MD North America - who retain regional revenue accountability - on a single view of pipeline, conversion, and demand mix across both regions.
  • Support the Group ARR trajectory to a 50% recurring mix by FY29 and the NRR path through proposition development, packaging, and campaign focus on recurring-revenue offerings.
  • Champion market share growth in priority markets and verticals, generating the demand thatunderpins the plan's committed regional outcomes.
  • Support the shift in average new-business and campaign targeting.

Systematic go-to-market:

  • Own the Ideal Customer Profile and priority-vertical strategy across all DSP regions, embedded in 100% of opportunity qualification in all regions and refreshed as evidence accumulates.
  • Lead the marketing commercialisation of the Product and Services Catalogue with the CEO and CTO -proposition messaging, packaging, and launch.
  • Partner with the regional sales leaders and the CFO on the end-to-end HubSpot process - pipeline definitions aligned to the CFO's metric glossary, conversion analytics, and 100% ICP and vertical tagging - so marketing and sales operate one measurable funnel.
  • Lead the proactive EBS/end-of-life migration campaign motion, converting install-base risk into marketing-sourced pipeline before competitors reach those customers, with the regional sales teams executing the resulting opportunities.
  • Partner with the CTO to ensure solutions-architecture capacity, clean qualification handoffs, and joint ownership of win themes on strategic deals.

Marketing engine: budget, brand, campaigns and communications:

  • Own the group marketing engine in full: brand, campaigns, and communications across all markets, building DSP's Group-level strategic marketing capability.
  • Own the global marketing budget and spend, ensuring disciplined allocation and control, and track ROI by linking investment to sourced and influenced pipeline, conversion, revenue and customer acquisition economics to optimise spend across campaigns, channels, regions and partnerships.
  • Design and run marketing-led demand and lead generation into the sales pipeline: ICP-aligned campaigns, account-based marketing for strategic accounts and priority verticals, and agreed leadhandling SLAs into the sales teams, measured in sourced pipeline rather than activity.
  • Own marketing automation within HubSpot - attribution, lead scoring, nurture - as one system with the sales process, and report marketing performance (MQLs, sourced/influenced pipeline, campaign ROI, brand awareness) monthly to the ELT.
  • Commercially exploit DSP's analyst recognition (Gartner, ISG, IDC), with analyst-referenced campaigns live in North America, and build the case-study.
  • Own the events programme and vendor co-marketing (including Oracle MDF), each with explicit pipeline targets.
  • Lead DSP's thought leadership and industry engagement programme, positioning executives and subject-matter experts in priority forums, media, analyst and partner channels to strengthen market authority, influence and demand.

Customer insight and proposition development:

  • Own customer insight and proposition development: win/loss analysis, market and competitor intelligence, and voice-of-customer programmes feeding proposition, pricing, and ICP decisions.
  • Partner with the CTO on the go-to-market for productised IP/AI offerings, converting the commercialisation roadmap into revenue and market differentiation.
  • Align growth priorities with sales, vendor, and regional strategy, so that campaigns, catalogue focus, partner motions, and sales capacity point at the same targets.

Partnerships and alliances:

  • Support the Oracle relationship through the Vendor Engagement Group: own the co-marketing plan (including MDF) and marketing's contribution to an agreed referral target in both regions.
  • Provide marketing and demand-generation support for the Microsoft/Azure partnership as the second ecosystem motion, per the
  • Board-approved investment plan and its assessed impact on the Oracle relationship.
  • Provide marketing support to strategic delivery, channel, and referral relationships, and commercial input (market attractiveness, revenue synergies, cross-sell) to the M&A programme.

Person specification

Experience and knowledge:

  • Proven global senior marketing and growth leadership (Group Marketing Director, CGMO, or growth focused marketing leader) in technology services, managed services, or enterprise software, ideally private equity-backed, with a track record of partnering closely with quota-carrying, multi-region sales organisations.
  • Genuine dual capability across marketing and sales, across regions, in a global context: has personally led a global marketing function that has generated measurable sourced pipeline and understands revenue leadership.
  • Track record of building systematic go-to-market engines in multiple regions (NA/UK): ICP-led qualification, catalogue/productised selling, CRM-driven revenue operations (HubSpot an advantage), and funnel economics reported at Board level.
  • Demonstrable success supporting growth in recurring revenue mix, net revenue retention, and average deal size through proposition development, packaging, and outcome-based campaigns.
  • Experience of brand build or rebrand, demand generation, ABM, analyst relations (Gartner/ISG/IDC), and vendor ecosystems (Oracle and/or Microsoft co-sell and co-marketing).
  • Experience of building Group-level functions in a regionalised business: integrating regional marketing activity, establishing shared standards and cadence, and earning the confidence of regional commercial leaders without losing momentum or clients.
  • Comfortable as the commercial face of an equity story with investors, lenders, and buyers.
