One of our clients in the FS industry are searching for a Windows Server Expert to join them on a 12 month contract in London.
About the Role
Manage, maintain, and enhance Windows Server technologies. Support international 24×7 platform operations. Implement automation solutions aligned with strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Windows Server estate.
- Deliver projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Participate in on-call/weekend rotations.
- Optimize processes through automation (Service Now -> AWX -> Ansible/scripting).
- Manage incidents, backups, and compliance checks.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of systems.
- Provide technical support and consultancy.
- Execute DR procedures and security updates.
- Maintain operational procedures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Windows Server (2008-2019).
- Advanced PowerShell scripting (Mandatory).
- CI/CD, DevOps, Git, security hardening (CIS benchmarks).
- Strong networking, storage, database, and virtualization knowledge.
- Clustering, high-availability, replication, and disaster recovery.

- Other scripting languages (Batch, VBS, VBA, Python).
