Technical Accountant – Private Equity – London
twentyAI are currently supporting an international Private Equity firm with a hugely impressive development story and track record. AUM has been rising consistently, and the business maintains a significant growth trajectory.
This Technical Accounting role is ideal for those looking for their first move out of practice into industry. It offers a broad remit of responsibilities with exposure to group consolidation, technical accounting, M&A and the annual / interim reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support with the preparation of technical accounting papers on business specific matters including mergers and acquisitions
- Ownership of the Group consolidation under IFRS
- Ownership of the Intercompany Matrix including intercompany position matching and rules (including FX)
- Support with the preparation and maintenance of accounting policy documents
- Assess the financial reporting impact of new or amended accounting standards and / or regulation
- Support with the reporting to the Audit Committee on key issues and judgements impacting the financial statements
Requirements:
- Experience of Group consolidation either from audit or industry perspective
- Experience of preparing and / or auditing papers and policies on complex accounting matters (IFRS)
- Experience of preparing and/or auditing financial statements
- Strong writing, excel and presentational skills essential
- Private Equity and / or Credit or asset management industry experience preferred, but not essential
