Job Description

This Technical Accounting role is ideal for those looking for their first move out of practice into industry. It offers a broad remit of responsibilities with exposure to group consolidation, technical accounting, M&A and the annual / interim reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with the preparation of technical accounting papers on business specific matters including mergers and acquisitions
  • Ownership of the Group consolidation under IFRS
  • Ownership of the Intercompany Matrix including intercompany position matching and rules (including FX)
  • Support with the preparation and maintenance of accounting policy documents
  • Assess the financial reporting impact of new or amended accounting standards and / or regulation
  • Support with the reporting to the Audit Committee on key issues and judgements impacting the financial statements

Requirements:

  • ACA Qualified, Big 4 trained
  • Experience of Group consolidation either from audit or industry perspective
  • Experience of preparing and / or auditing papers and policies on complex accounting matters (IFRS)
  • Experience of preparing and/or auditing financial statements
  • Strong writing, excel and presentational skills essential
  • Private Equity and / or Credit or asset management industry experience preferred, but not essential
