Senior Data Design & Governance Lead - Private Equity
London / Hybrid | 18–24 Month Contract
A leading mid-market Private Equity firm is seeking a Senior Data Design & Governance Lead to take ownership of a major enterprise data transformation programme.
The focus is on redesigning the firm's data model, establishing clear data definitions and ownership, and implementing governance standards across its fund, investor, portfolio and deal data.
Requirements
- Senior experience within Private Equity, Private Markets or fund administration.
- Hands-on experience redesigning and implementing enterprise data models and governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, investor lifecycles and fund accounting.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Investor Relations.
- Knowledge of systems such as Investran, eFront or Allvue advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Redesign the enterprise data model across core business domains.
- Establish consistent data definitions, ownership and quality controls.
- Translate complex PE processes into data models for engineering teams.
- Implement governance and reconciliation frameworks.
- Build data foundations to support future AI and automation initiatives.
Important: This is a business-facing data design and governance role, not a Data Engineering position. Candidates must have practical experience delivering data model redesign within Private Markets.
