twentyAI are working with a prominent Private Bank in London that are looking for a First Line Risk & Control Manager to join their function. The Bank are on an aggressive growth journey as they look to build on their digital proposition and it’s an exciting time to be joining them!
There will be a need to set up and establish a controls assurance function for the Bank to help with testing key controls. This person will also act as a number 2 to the head of department and help drive the team. It’s likely that this role will turn into a functional leader for risk and controls.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive Operational and conduct risk activities across first line
- Assist with the creation of an Assurance function and embed within the team
- Act as a conduit between lines of defence and the business
- Lead the delivery of requirements within Operational and Conduct Risk
- Ensure risks are reported
- Lead the production and reporting of KRI’s, identify controls for testing and help to implement appropriate checking/assurance
- Drive the completion of control tests, process reviews and assurance reviews
- Analyse and review events
- Deputise for the Head of First Line risk
- Build a risk roadmap for the management and review of RCSAs
Experience
- Experience driving and embedding a risk and control focused culture
- Team/line management across Risk desirable
- Development of an assurance / controls function
- Ability to identify areas for process and control improvements and influence stakeholders
