The role
The company is looking for an experienced Salesforce Solution Architect to lead the design and assurance of secure, scalable and supportable Salesforce solutions across its international business.
Based in London, you will take ownership of solution design from initial discovery through to implementation and transition into ongoing service. Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, business stakeholders and external implementation partners, you will translate business requirements into effective technical solutions across Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, CRM Analytics and Introhive.
You will play a key role in shaping the Salesforce platform, promoting standard capabilities, reducing unnecessary customisation and ensuring solutions deliver long-term business value.
Responsibilities
- Lead Salesforce solution design from initial discovery and requirements gathering through to implementation and operational handover.
- Design enterprise-level solutions across Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, CRM Analytics and Introhive.
- Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders to define business requirements, processes and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate solution options, clearly communicating their benefits, costs, risks and technical implications.
- Promote standard Salesforce platform capabilities and carefully considered customisation to minimise complexity and technical debt.
- Create and maintain solution designs, data models, technical specifications and supporting documentation.
- Provide trusted technical and strategic advice to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Guide implementation partners and assure the quality of new features, enhancements and platform changes.
- Identify opportunities to improve, optimise and enhance existing Salesforce services.
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives, technology strategy, security requirements and long-term platform architecture.
Requirements
- Extensive technical knowledge of Salesforce, with proven experience designing enterprise-level solutions.
- Strong expertise across Salesforce products, particularly Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and CRM Analytics.
- Expert proficiency in Salesforce Flow and a working understanding of Apex.
- Experience operating in a senior technical or strategic technology role within a complex, systems-led environment.
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Strong solution design, data modelling, technical writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers and work effectively with external partners.
- Proven leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycles, service management and ITIL processes.
- Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and Scrum is desirable.
