🪵 The Opportunity

We’re searching for an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales Lead to head up the commercial function for our client’s game-changing construction solution. They are building a global, automated construction ecosystem for housing and have made good headway in the UK, Europe, and the US.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll step into a pivotal role, taking over a strong pipeline of potential customers and shaping the company’s sales strategy.

✏️ What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop Strategy: Lead and execute a commercial strategy to scale the customer base across key markets.
  • Own the Funnel: Manage the entire sales process, from identifying qualified leads to closing deals and ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Create Playbooks: Develop scalable, repeatable sales processes to support long-term growth.
  • Marketing Support: Build KPIs and refine marketing materials to strengthen the company’s market presence.
  • Customer Engagement: Regularly engage with customers to uncover insights, aligning feedback with the product roadmap.
  • Build the Team: As the first sales hire, you’ll be hands-on initially, with plans to build and lead the sales team as the company grows.

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years in sales, ideally within the construction or building industry, with bonus points for experience in complex product sales.
  • Hands-On Approach: You’re resourceful, proactive, and ready to roll up your sleeves.
  • Commercial Mindset: Strong ability to model customer returns and communicate value effectively.
  • Collaboration Skills: A great communicator who thrives working cross-functionally.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
  • Mission-Driven: Passion for sustainability and alignment with the company’s values.
  • Location: Able to work from the London office at least three days a week.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Technical knowledge of home-building processes.
  • Experience building and leading sales teams.
  • Expertise in go-to-market strategies.
  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot.
