A leading financial services firm urgently requires an experienced QA Engineer to support critical projects across Back Office, Middle Office, and Regulatory Finance.

You’ll be the centralised QA resource within the team, ensuring robust testing of data-heavy financial and risk systems. The team has a number of critical deadlines that need to be hit; you will directly contribute to the delivery of regulatory and prudential regime projects with significant business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver QA testing across Back Office, Middle Office, and Finance functions.
  • Support prudential regime and regulatory finance projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform detailed testing of data transformations, calculations, and aggregation processes.
  • Build and manage test packs, moving from manual to automated regression testing over time.
  • Collaborate with BAs, Developers, and Risk/Finance teams to ensure end-to-end coverage.
  • Document test results, issues, and recommendations clearly for stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience as a QA Engineer, ideally within financial services.
  • Background in finance or risk functions, with exposure to regulatory or prudential regimes highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, transformations, and calculations.
  • Hands-on with Excel and SQL for data validation and analysis.
  • Awareness or experience of automated testing (desirable) – particularly building regression packs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to navigate complex data lineage and dependencies.
  • Available to start immediately (a one-month notice period will not be suitable).
