We are partnering with a leading alternative asset manager on a search for a Portfolio Analyst to join a lean, collaborative team. Within the role, you will take ownership of financial oversight and provide commercial insight across a diverse renewable energy portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee portfolio profit and loss performance.
- Support annual budgeting and financial performance reviews.
- Review management accounts and identify key trends or issues.
- Work closely with asset and finance managers.
- Participate in asset management meetings and contract tenders.
- Support improvements to reporting, data analysis and operational efficiency.
- Develop your understanding of the renewable energy regulatory environment, including Ofgem.
Key Skills:
- Newly qualified accountant with an ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong financial and commercial understanding.
- Experience reviewing management accounts and supporting budgets.
- Hands-on commercial finance or management accounting experience.
- Confidence working with senior finance and asset management colleagues.
- Proactive approach with the ability to take ownership in a small team.
- Renewable energy or infrastructure experience is useful but not essential.
- Power BI, Python, data analytics or automation experience would be advantageous.
