A prestigious global law firm undergoing a significant technology transformation is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with a focus on People and Talent systems. This role will join a growing Enterprise Architecture team alongside specialists supporting Finance and Business Development functions.
This is a strategic role that goes beyond delivery — the successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with senior leaders including the Head of HR and Head of Payroll to identify pain points, provide strategic insight, and influence change that drives business value through technology.
Role Overview
- Lead the architecture and rollout of enterprise HR platforms, including Workday (implementation or core usage experience highly desirable but not essential)
- Translate complex technical solutions into clear business outcomes aligned with the firm’s strategic goals
- Collaborate across Finance and other business areas to ensure seamless integration and alignment
- Bring a consultancy mindset to assess challenges and recommend practical, scalable improvements
- Influence senior stakeholders across the firm, many of whom may not be data or tech literate, through clear and effective communication
Key Responsibilities
- Apply deep technical and commercial insight to deliver effective programs of change and investment
- Guide the technical design and architecture of solutions to ensure global readiness and compliance
- Collaborate across Technology and business teams to align architecture with business strategy and market trends
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency in people and talent systems
- Maximise business value from existing and future technology investments
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a closely related role, with 5–10 years’ overall professional experience
- Proven ability to work strategically and collaboratively with senior stakeholders across multiple functions
- Experience with enterprise HR platforms, ideally including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or equivalent
- Strong ability to engage effectively with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Technology teams
- Consultancy approach to problem-solving — identifying issues and delivering actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
