A trading firm in central London has rolled out a business-wide data platform and is now looking for a senior Software Developer to help evolve the services that sit on top of it. The environment is heavily Kubernetes‑based, but this role is firmly about building high‑quality software rather than running the platform itself.
They’re looking for someone who’s comfortable developing robust .NET services that operate at scale, with a strong understanding of how modern applications behave once they’re deployed into Kubernetes.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Strong C#/.NET background with experience designing and building clean, maintainable microservices.
- Solid SQL engineering skills, including schema design, performance tuning and optimisation for high‑throughput systems.
- Hands‑on experience deploying and running services on Kubernetes, with a good working understanding of how applications interact with clusters in production.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes that support frequent, low‑risk deployments.
- Production mindset: writing software with reliability, observability and failure modes in mind (logging, monitoring, alerting, SLOs).
- Comfortable working in cloud environments and integrating with managed services efficiently.
