A leading global commodity trading firm is undertaking a strategic multi-phase upgrade of Endur from version 16 to version 24 to support its expanding global trading operations. The programme requires a highly skilled Endur Developer to join the London team and play a critical role in this transformation programme. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across the front, middle, and back office, delivering solutions to business stakeholders and managing an offshore development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the Endur v16 to v24 upgrade programme, including technical development, testing, and deployment.
- Develop, customize, and optimize Endur components using JVS (Java within OpenJVS).
- Engage closely with business users across trading, risk, and operations to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Design and implement deal modelling, trade workflows, and custom reports.
- Support integration with external systems (market data, settlements, risk engines).
- Lead and coordinate the work of offshore developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, design principles, and best practices.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and testing cycles (unit, system, UAT).
- Provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting.
- Ensure performance tuning, reliability, and maintainability of Endur components.
- Work closely with BA, QA, and project management teams to align deliverables and timelines.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience (5+ years) working as an Endur Developer in a commodity or energy trading environment.
- Deep expertise in JVS (Java in OpenJVS), OpenComponents, and AVS scripting.
- Strong understanding of Endur architecture, data model (runtimes, transactions, tracking), and key components (TP, GR, DM, Connex, etc.).
- Experience with Endur upgrades, ideally from version 16 or earlier to newer releases (v24 or similar).
- Sound knowledge of trading products across power, gas, oil, and financial derivatives.
- Familiarity with front-to-back workflows: deal capture, scheduling, risk, PnL, settlements, and accounting.
- Experience in performance tuning and memory management within Endur.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across business and IT.
- Proven track record in leading and mentoring offshore development teams.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
