A leading global markets bank is seeking an experienced compliance leader to take ownership of its Electronic Trading Compliance framework across EMEA. This is a high-profile role sitting at the intersection of regulation, technology, market structure and trading activity, providing oversight of electronic and algorithmic trading risks across multiple asset classes. You'll partner closely with senior stakeholders across Trading, Technology, Risk and Compliance, helping shape and enhance the firm's regulatory framework in a rapidly evolving market environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Electronic Trading Compliance framework across EMEA.
- Provide oversight of regulatory obligations relating to electronic and algorithmic trading.
- Assess and challenge trading controls, governance frameworks and risk management processes.
- Oversee trade surveillance activity and market abuse investigations.
- Advise on regulatory developments and their impact on trading businesses.
- Drive remediation programmes and continuous improvement of compliance controls.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience within Electronic Trading / Algorithmic Trading Compliance, Market Conduct or Global Markets Compliance.
- Strong knowledge of MiFID II, MiFIR, MAR and FCA requirements relating to electronic and algorithmic trading.
- Experience overseeing trade surveillance, market abuse risk and regulatory investigations.
- Understanding of electronic trading platforms, algorithms, trading controls and market structure across asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, FX and Derivatives.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across front office and control functions.
