We're supporting a well-established legal business as it builds and launches a new payments business, seeking an experienced Head of Compliance / MLRO to lead regulatory strategy and the end-to-end FCA licence application process (Payments Institution) with their appointed consultancy.
This is a fractional role (approx. 2 days per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to shape compliance from the ground up within a respected and well-resourced organisation. The client is considering this role on either a FTC or day rate basis.
Key Requirements:- Proven experience managing FCA licence applications for a Payments Institution or EMI (end-to-end).
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulatory frameworks, AML/CTF obligations, safeguarding, and governance requirements.
- Capacity to commit 2 days per week over an initial 6-12-month period.
- Must not currently act as an authorised MLRO elsewhere.
- Ideal for a senior compliance professional seeking a strategic, project-focused role with autonomy and flexibility.
