Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a full-time qualified, ambitious and articulate Teacher to teach English, in the innovative Blue Coat Church of England School and Music College in Coventry. This exciting new permanent contract is to start in September, teaching across all key stages including KS5. Full time and part time roles are available. Key Responsibilities: Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions Plan, teach and assess the assigned classes according to the National Curriculum, the agreed departmental curriculum policies and schemes of work, having regard for relevance, differentiation, progression and evaluation of learning Adopt a variety of teaching styles suitable to the needs of the pupils Monitor, support and encourage pupils in their learning, behaviour and appearance in line with agreed guidelines Monitor pupil behaviour and attendance at individual lessons, promptly reporting concerns through either the academic or pastoral management structure as appropriate Regularly set and mark appropriate class work and homework, to be completed in accordance with the School’s Homework Policy and published timetable Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils’ achievements and well-being To carry out any other duties as directed by the Head of Department that are within the scope, purpose and spirit of the role Must have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Right to work in the UK Satisfactory teaching references covering the last 2 years Experience teaching within an educational setting or similar Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum Excellent subject knowledge of English Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills How to apply: Please fill in the details below and attach an up to date CV.
