Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a nurturing, resilient and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) to work within a stimulating and rewarding ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated mainstream Primary School. This exciting new full-time role is to start ASAP on a temp-to-perm contract.

This unique School offers an engaging curriculum, a forest school, a swimming pool and a training kitchen to facilitate learning. You will work alongside dedicated staff to support children with SEND in different key stages across the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and/or small group support to reinforce learning expectations
  • Offer personalised assistance to students with a variety of SEND
  • Help provide a safe, stimulating and structured environment
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and regulating their emotions following the school behaviour policy
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with other colleagues, professionals and parents/carers regarding student progress, well-being and any arising issues
  • Assist in preparing teaching materials and classroom resources
  • Keep accurate records of student activities, progress and behaviour
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with SEND within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 3 months of experience)
  • Child and Adult DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
  • You can demonstrate a patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children
  • You have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • You are committed to creating a supportive learning environment
