Teaching Assistant – Tonbridge – ASAP ** Location: Tonbridge, Kent ** Start: ASAP ** Placement: Full-time, Ongoing ** Primary School ** Pay rate: £85-£100 Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a hardworking, flexible and reliable Teaching Assistant (TA), to work within a thriving, welcoming and nurturing ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated mainstream Primary School in Tonbridge. This wonderful full-time opportunity is to start ASAP on an ongoing basis. For the right candidate this will become a permanent position. Key Responsibilities: * Understand and comply with the procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection * To aid pupils to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on their own including those with additional needs * Help provide a safe, stimulating and structured environment * To provide the necessary pastoral care to enable children to feel secure and happy * Support students in managing their behaviour following the school behaviour policy * Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal and Intimate Care Programmes * To establish a supportive and constructive relationship with the pupils * Assist with the preparation and maintenance of equipment/resources required to meet lesson plans/relevant learning activities * To provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher * Monitor pupil’s responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement as directed * Maintain clear and professional communication with other colleagues, external professionals and parents/carers regarding student progress, well-being and any arising issues Qualifications & Experience: * Minimum Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent * Experience working with children with SEND within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 3 months of experience) * Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process) * You can demonstrate a patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children * You have excellent communication and teamwork skills * You are committed to creating a supportive learning environment The Benefits of Twenty4Seven Education: * T4S is an accredited REC member * 24/7 support from your designated dedicated and friendly consultant * Competitive pay rates * Recommend-a-Friend Scheme * Opportunities for further professional training from our Education Support at Twenty4Seven Education * FREE safeguarding training Twenty4Seven Education is dedicated to safer recruitment, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
