An inclusive and supportive Special Needs School in Warwick is seeking a caring and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a full-time, long-term ongoing basis from September. The School provides a welcoming learning environment where every child is valued and encouraged to succeed. Through a creative and engaging curriculum, pupils are supported academically, socially and emotionally, with a strong emphasis on inclusion and personalised learning. The School caters for pupils aged 4-11 years with additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow statutory safeguarding guidance in line with KCSIE
- Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis/small groups
- Work closely with Teachers and the SENCO to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
- Encourage pupil independence, confidence and participation
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social skills
