We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher to join a thriving Humanities Department in a well-respected Coventry Secondary School. Responsibilities
- Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils\’ well-being following statutory provisions
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3-KS5 that promote critical thinking and reflection
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and encourages open dialogue
- Support students in developing both academic understanding and moral awareness
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback to help every learner succeed
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills following the school\’s behaviour policy
- Work in partnership with parents/carers, ensuring open, respectful and timely communication to celebrate success and address concerns
- Engage in continuous professional learning, embracing feedback and contribute to departmental excellence
Qualifications and Experience
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Read the DfE \’Keeping Children Safe in Education\’ (2025 document)
- Proven experience teaching RE at Secondary level (KS3/KS4, KS5 desirable)
