SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 5) – Full‑time, temporary and ongoing position. You will provide dedicated support to a child with special educational needs in Year 5, beginning as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs in Year 5.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
- Support the child’s social, emotional and academic development.
- Assist in creating an inclusive, safe and positive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
- Patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
