Overview

SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 5) – full-time, temporary and ongoing. Supporting a child in Year 5, commencing as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs in Year 5.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
  • Support the childs social, emotional and academic development.
  • Assist in creating an inclusive, safe and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting children\’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
