CONTRACT – Senior / Staff / Principal Software Engineers | UK Challenger Bank | Liverpool St | 2-days on site | Outside IR35

We\’re working with an established UK Challenger Bank entering a significant scale-up phase and looking for exceptional talent to level-up the engineering org.

We\’re not looking for people with \”X years in Y language\”, we want to speak to systems thinkers who care about scalable architecture, continuous deployment, clean code, business value and user experience – regardless of whether your background is Java, Go, Python, Kotlin, .NET, TypeScript, Data or anything else.

• Product-Minded: You don\’t just build to spec; you care about why you’re building it and the value it adds to the customer.
• Engineering Maturity: You understand TDD, CI/CD, and how to build resilient distributed systems.
• Collaboration: You enjoy mentoring, peer-reviewing, and raising the bar for an entire engineering organisation.
• Tech-Agnostic: You’re comfortable working across the stack or even moving into new domains (Fullstack, Data, or Platform).
