A well-funded fintech start-up is hiring for a Full-Stack Engineer to help craft both the experience and infrastructure that power their mission. Backed by top-tier investors with over $30 million raised to redefine fintech for underserved communities.
The Role
The company is looking for an exceptional engineer who thrives on building high-impact systems. This role requires a builder who can own features end-to-end—from crafting intuitive user interfaces to designing the APIs that bring them to life. You will be a pivotal part of the engineering team, with a prominent focus on building out the mobile application in React Native, while moving fluidly across the stack to develop the NestJS backend services and manage the AWS infrastructure required to deliver a secure, seamless financial experience.
What This Role Involves
- App Development: Building rich, accessible, and responsive front-end experiences, with a primary focus on React Native.
- End-to-End Building: Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure applications across the entire stack using TypeScript and Node.js/NestJS.
- Core Services & Infra: Developing backend services—from authentication to banking integrations—and utilizing AWS (ECS, RDS) and Docker.
- Technical Rigor: Balancing fast iteration with the high standards required in a regulated fintech environment, championing best practices in testing and observability.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the CTO, product, and design teams to translate user needs into technical solutions.
What They’re Looking For
- Full Stack Proficiency: Strong fundamentals with comfort building both user interfaces and backend services using TypeScript, React, and Node.js/NestJS.
- Mobile Focus: Proficiency with React Native to lead the build-out of the mobile product.
- Database & Cloud: Experience with relational databases (Postgres preferred), clean API design, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, CI/CD).
- Security Mindset: Familiarity with secure coding and data privacy principles, ideally within fintech or other regulated domains.
- Mission-Driven: A collaborative, product-focused mindset with the curiosity and drive to make technology serve real people's needs.
