We are looking for a talented Front End Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our remote-first team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our innovative technology platforms in edtech.

In this role, you will work closely with our Brand Director to translate user requirements and brand guidelines into engaging and effective designs for a mix of landing pages and product features. Your strong skills in web development, particularly with React and Next.js, will be essential, coupled with a keen eye for UI/UX design and a passion for creating intuitive, impactful solutions.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with the Brand Director to conceptualise and build out effective designs for new features, landing pages, and product enhancements.
  • Transform software by bringing modern design and UI best practices to the forefront, ensuring a consistent and compelling user experience.
  • Translate user requirements and wireframes into clean, performant, and accessible code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces with React and Next.js.
  • Enhance the overall user experience across a diverse suite of web products, contributing directly to platforms used by educators and employers.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and present design solutions.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Frontend Developer or UX Engineer.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to design and implement effective user interfaces and web experiences.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Vanilla), React, and Next.js.
  • Deep understanding of UI/UX principles and experience with relevant design tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to your work.
  • The ability to thrive in an autonomous, remote environment while managing your workload effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, able to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
