Position Summary

Twelve is seeking a driven Logistics Manager to own and optimize our end-to-end EMEA logistics operations, with global reach. You’ll lead high-volume global shipments, manage 3PL partners, control budgets, and drive cost and process efficiencies across sea, air, road, and rail freight. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliant, seamless import/export operations, with knowledge of food, liquids, and dangerous goods shipments. Combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, you’ll improve systems, streamline flows, and deliver world-class logistics performance in a fast-growing, innovative business.

Shipment & 3PL Management

  • Oversee high volume inbound and outbound logistics (sea, air, road & train), ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and/or distribution of goods.
  • Process item receipts in NetSuite, maintaining accuracy in records and inventory levels.
  • Track all shipments in a centralized shipment tracker and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage 3PL partners and programs, understanding best practices, stock levels and cost optimization.

Logistics Coordination & Cost Optimization

  • Manage freight bills, cross-referencing them with product costing sheets for accuracy.
  • Identify optimal shipping and transportation routes to balance speed and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with international logistics service providers (freight forwarders, carriers) to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
  • Budget ownership for EMEA logistics operations, including freight, duty, VAT, and warehousing costs.

Process & System Improvements

  • Drive process optimization for logistics KPIs, ensuring timely bookings, tenders, and shipments.
  • Maintain and update data in NetSuite ERP to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline logistics processes, addressing potential delays or inefficiencies.
  • Experience optimizing intra-EU road, rail, and short-sea freight flows.

Import/Export Expertise

  • Demonstrated experience in food, liquids and dangerous goods logistics, including full compliance with applicable international regulations and handling requirements.
  • Strong understanding of EU TARIC fiscal structures and national customs, including VAT deferment schemes and other strategies that support efficient and compliant global import operations, across EMEA markets.
  • Ability to perform and oversee accurate HS Code and TARIC classifications to reduce audit exposure, ensure regulatory compliance, and clearly define risk-transfer points across the global supply chain.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Experience working with NetSuite (strongly preferred) or other ERP systems.
  • Proven track record in negotiation, contract management, and cost control strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret logistics data and drive process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements is a plus.
