At Tweeddale Primary School, we are looking for a dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team and contribute to the continued success of our school community.

In this influential role, you will work closely with colleagues to develop teaching and learning, raise standards and create an environment where pupils and staff are supported to achieve their full potential.

About the Role: As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping school improvement, leading strategic priorities and supporting the development of staff and pupils. You will work closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and personal development are embedded across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding leader who is passionate about education, committed to improving life chances and ready to make a significant contribution to the future success of the school.

• Supporting the Headteacher in providing strategic direction and the leadership and management of the school to embed a culture of academic ambition for every child.
• Leading and managing the quality of teaching and assessment, designing a programme of staff training and instructional coaching.
• Leading the development and delivery of the school’s curriculum, building subject leaders’ capacity to develop, monitor and evaluate curriculum and teaching in each subject.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

• Evidence of strategic and creative leadership to develop and build shared vision with quality learning for all at its centre.
• Experience with a variety of assessment and monitoring strategies to improve the quality of teaching, designed to raise attainment and achievement.
• Used adaptive expertise to meet the range of pupils’ needs so that all make progress.

About Tweeddale Primary School: Tweeddale Primary School is a thriving, well-resourced two-form entry primary school, with a purpose-built wing for our Nursery and Reception classes. We are located in the London Borough of Sutton serving families in and around the St Helier estate.
