Sustainability Carbon Director

Location: London

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and execute comprehensive carbon management strategies to achieve net-zero goals.
  2. Lead carbon footprint assessments across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, identifying reduction opportunities.
  3. Ensure full compliance with European and international sustainability standards, including GHG Protocol and ISO 14064.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed sustainability within operations and supply chains.
  5. Innovate through the adoption of cutting-edge low-carbon technologies and renewable energy projects.
  6. Represent the company in sustainability forums, engaging with industry leaders and policymakers to shape the carbon agenda.
  7. Build and lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

What You’ll Need

  1. 10+ years of experience in carbon management, sustainability, or a related field, preferably in the energy sector.
  2. Deep understanding of carbon accounting, emissions trading schemes, and climate action frameworks.
  3. Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and driving measurable outcomes.
  4. A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields; advanced qualifications are a plus.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Danish or German is an advantage.
