Our dynamic client is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, based in Manche. Our clients are global leaders in their field, providing secure products and services across the financial sector, based in the UK and Ireland. They are looking to recruit a rotation-based Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering Team to work on planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repair of Production equipment.

The Engineer will work alone within a secure environment, be customer‑facing, and be the sole representative of our client on the sites. The electro‑mechanical engineer will work with another engineer on rotating weekly shifts (06:00‑14:00 and/or 07:00‑15:00) and will be involved with servicing, repair and physical installation requirements on site. All associated administrative duties such as repair logs and stock movements must be completed to a high standard. The sites operate on a shift system Monday to Friday, and therefore Production equipment availability is paramount.

The successful candidate must be able to work to tight timeframes in a safe and responsible manner, have a quick analytical mindset and be able to apply fixes to ensure equipment downtime is minimised.

Position Overview
  • Safe and considered methods of working
  • Servicing / planned maintenance of Production equipment
  • Reactive repair of Production equipment
  • Assistance in installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis
  • Effective hand‑over of repaired equipment to Production Operators
  • Management of stock
  • Completion of all required paperwork
  • Ensuring adherence to manufacturer's specifications and other regulatory bodies
Position Requirements
  • Formal Electrical/Mechanical qualification desired
  • Experience carrying out fault finding on electrical circuits (inc. single phase HV kit)
  • Mechanical maintenance experience essential (motors, gears, encoders, bearings, clutches, etc.)
  • In‑depth control systems knowledge and understanding highly desirable
  • Computer literate with Windows, Excel, Word etc.
  • Knowledge of DOS would be advantageous but not essential
