We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing, masking, and painting commercial vehicle bodies and components to a high standard while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects, ensuring excellent quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation & Masking
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, cleaning, degreasing, and surface preparation.
- Mask vehicles and components accurately to protect non-painted areas, ensuring clean lines and a professional finish.
Painting Duties
- Paint aluminium bodies using etching primer, followed by a wet-on-wet undercoat.
- Apply a high-quality two-pack topcoat finish.
- Paint metal components with primer and apply a consistent, high-standard topcoat.
Equipment & Work Area Maintenance
- Correctly use and manage personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain spray guns and all spray equipment, ensuring they remain clean and in good working order.
- Keep spray bays and work areas clean, organised, and safe at the end of each shift.
Health & Safety
- Work in full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and regulations.
- Report any unsafe practices or hazards immediately.
- Support management by following all Health & Safety rules and procedures.
