We are now recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator with Line Management responsibilities, working for TVS at our Bristol site in Emersons Green, as part of a vibrant and dynamic team, committed to transforming the way the MoD works.
The purpose of the role is to supply and deliver defence clothing items to military end users in a Supply Chain Management role. Whilst doing this, the role also needs to achieve product savings committed to the Authority through the development of a cost-effective, commercially driven supply base, which meets the requirements for Governance and product availability.
Please note we work on a hybrid model with a minimum of two days in office (Mon & Tues) plus a minimum of one day per month in our MoD Bicester office.
Training for this role will be at the Bristol office for three days a week for the first month with some visits to the Bicester office.
The role offers excellent development and knowledge building potential, working across a wide scope of the military clothing market and with a high-profile customer and modern logistics and procurement systems.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of a team of Supply Chain Coordinators.
- Monitoring demands generated as an output of TVS Demand Forecast Planning software system (Mysys.DFP).
- Monitoring and actioning TVS Enterprise Resource Planning software (Msys.ERP) worklists of Requisition Exceptions for Commodity Articles.
- Monitoring clearance of back orders within the section to achieve First Strike Availability targets.
- Maintaining Contingency operational stocks to the required performance level.
- Liaising with Acquisition and Contract Management to manage rejected purchase requisitions.
- Liaising with the Commodity Team on obsolescence, supersession, and specification changes.
- Proactively providing early warnings on potential supply issues and actions for remediation.
- Monitoring and managing open POs to the required schedule, using the exception messages contained within Msys.ERP to determine the prioritised worklist.
- Ensuring Supplier compliance to the ASN process, expediting those suppliers who have not provided the information for commodity deliveries to avoid non-complying deliveries into the fulfilment centre.
- Challenging deliveries that do not meet the business rules, to avoid early deliveries and excess inventory.
- Supporting the teams involved in contract relets, attending A3’s, and CAB’s building of the SOR with supply chain data.
- Attending and leading the Supply Chain update at contract review meetings. Engaging in Supplier Relationship Management with key strategic suppliers and underperforming suppliers.
- Building relationships with suppliers and colleagues across Team Leidos to effectively manage the supply chain.
- Providing feedback to Inventory Management for Market optimisation.
- Supporting the Senior Supply Chain Coordinator as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in supply chain role.
- Previous experience in line management.
- Some knowledge of clothing products would be helpful, or a keen willingness to learn about these items and the clothing market as full training will be provided.
- Be proficient in data manipulation and analysis with a good knowledge of MS Office applications as well as some experience of warehouse/logistic systems.
- Willingness to learn and explore IS challenges and actively contribute to improvements.
- Effective communicator at all levels.
- Ability to negotiate with the supplier to agree delivery and meet customer requirements.
The successful candidate will be required to go through a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) Clearance.
