About the role: TVS are working as part of Team Leidos, which is a team of defence and logistics specialists supporting a major contract providing an end-to-end supply chain service delivering commodity and inventory savings to the UK Ministry of Defence. We are now recruiting for a Junior Inventory Planner at the Team Leidos offices at Emersons Green in Bristol as part of a vibrant and dynamic team, committed to transforming the way the MOD is supported. We work on a hybrid model of 2 days per week in the office and the remainder of the week working remotely. It is therefore essential that you are able to commute to Bristol.

Purpose: This role will support delivery of a consistent and reliable Commodity Support Services (CSS) Inventory Plan.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Msys (TVS ERP system) Demand Forecast Planning (DFP) Software User
  • Administer system generated Demand Forecast exceptions in line with business priorities, meeting performance KPIs.
  • Support the Senior Inventory Planner in analysing data outputs from Msys, in order to refine configuration.
  • Collaborate with Commodity, Category, Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance teams to set stocking policy and initial inventory levels for new product introductions.
  • Support the management of Customer Controlled Stock (WR, EM, etc.) - creation, maintenance and issue management.
  • Support the maintenance of system Price List Management (entitlement) – creation and maintenance.
  • Future events analysis – develop recommendations to optimise supply chain in support of planned events.
  • Generate monthly stock review lists and track the disposal process.
  • Department point of contact and Super User for Controlled Document Library.
  • Support change requests reviews and costing activity.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demand Planning using both system-generated and forecast of activity data.
  • Data analysis and manipulation skills using MS Excel.
  • Ability to work at pace in a change environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
