Job Overview

Job Description

  • Understand TVS’s in-house developed Product Data Management application and its interaction with other ‘core’ applications; its functionality, capabilities and workflow processes behind the business ‘rules’
  • Make sure that TVS ‘Best Practice’ data management principles are applied and adhered to – across all product data management entries
  • Write and maintain Python scripts for process automation
  • Create Microsoft Power Bi visualisations and dashboard designs from the PDM data-lake module
  • Support the Product Data Manager & ITS Manager on project requests and R&D activities
  • Support the Product Data Manager in the implementation of new data designs and data imports
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Daily checks of the PDM catalogue extract and online catalogue (e COM) uptime(s)
  • Create and maintain the suite of PDM Power Bi reports
  • Support Zendesk reporting from the Zendesk APIs
  • Support client asset data-loads into the PDM application
  • Support the use of AI and Python scripts to enrich and enhance catalogue data
  • Liaise with client Account Managers to resolve data queries relating to item technical data
  • Look for process improvement(s) and/or efficiencies in data loading and ongoing data maintenance
  • Consider the downstream implications of item data changes and the impact on TVS’s other core applications and departments

Qualifications and Skills

  • Understanding of data structures and data schemas
  • Previous experience in building reports and visualisations in Power Bi
  • Previous experience in data processing
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Previous experience using SQL, AI and/or Copilot would be an advantage (but not essential)
  • Basic understanding of automation techniques, such as Python programming language
  • Basic understanding of system APIs and integration techniques
  • Good communication skills. Must be numerate, have an attention to detail, ability to use a logical/common-sense approach to data and data structures
