Role: Storekeeper

Department: Operations

Location: SPENW Stockport Depot

Reporting to: SPENWL Operations Manager

Hours of work: 07:00 – 15:30 Monday-Friday

Purpose: Following resignation of the current storekeeper, there is now a permanent vacancy available for dedicated storeman at the SPENW Stockport depot.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting customer satisfaction and be the interface between SPENW staff and TVS
  • Specific daily tasks in line with good depot stock management process
  • Regulatory stock counts, reporting and management of stock profile within the depot stores
  • Following of safe methods of working in line with risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Ensuring that the storage media is issued in line with process controls and that the depot stores are managed in such a way as to maximize security and stock control
  • Responsible for maintaining good standards of 5,s and housekeeping at the stores

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Must have current clean driving licence
  • Hold MHE counterbalance licence as a minimum requirement
  • Knowledge of warehousing/stock management systems
  • Demonstrate good numeracy and literary skills
  • Good attendance
  • Broad knowledge of warehouse activities and systems
  • Specific system and job training will be part of the successful applicant’s induction program.
